Commissioned by Channel 4 TV as a pilot for their Britain at Work series whilst at film school (PCL/University of Westminster).

The attempted regeneration of Bradford, Yorkshire from traditional industry to centre for art and tourism, seen through the eyes of the filmaker's father Brian and maternal grandmother Gertrude Ball, who worked in Salt's mill in this former wool capital of the world. 


Scenes from the time, alongside poetic commentary on northern working class history by Leeds' poet Tony Harrison and Hull/Halifax actor Barrie Rutter.
